  • Job Profile:

  1. DIPSW qualification or equivalent is essential
  2. Must be registered with the GSCC
  3. Enhanced CRB check required
  4. Valid driving licence
  5. Social work experience in local government, voluntary or independent sector
  6. Knowledge of relevant statutory child care social work legislation
  7. Direct experience of working with relevant client groups, especially those from different racial & cultural backgrounds
  8. Ability to initiate, draft and produce reports
  9. Ability to deal with/record casework, communicate effectively with client groups & professionals in order to assess client needs
  10. Ability to attend & organize case conferences & reviews for the purpose of assessing & monitoring the development of service users
  11. Ability to develop person-centred care plans
  12. Ability to use a variety of IT packages
  13. Ability to deal with conflict and complaints
  14. Ability to participate within a duty team framework
  15. Knowledge of the issues relating to the well-being of service users covering a wide range of clients

  • Anticipated Length of Assignment:  All of our roles are technically temporary, though opening assignments can be and often are, extended by clients on a longer term basis. This opening assignment is for 3 months.
  • Hours per week: 35-37 (tbc) Monday – Friday, normal working hours
