• What’s involved:
You will provide a front-line service for private sector owner occupied dwellings and both Public and Private Sector tenants if those tenants have disabilities.
You will have a multi-disciplinary function within the Private Housing Services Grants Teams, being required to work on your own initiative, and having responsibility with regards to interpretation and implementation of Housing Acts, and other associated legislative powers, as they relate to enforcement and grant aid.
Additionally, you will provide full architectural/surveying Agency Service, in connection with the Council’s Grants and works-in-default schemes and carry out comprehensive surveys of properties for the purpose of identifying suitable further actions with regard to grant aid, and/or Agency work.
You will engage in detailed, involved and difficult negotiations with all appropriate parties, as listed above, and provide information and advice on all aspects of Housing legislation and any specialised schemes.
You will provide a ‘front-line’ customer focused, rapid response service, to all significant issues related to customer requests, for the repair, maintenance and/or improvement of private houses.
